... I'm back, I've been busy meeting up with friends, gatherings, outings, yum-cha-ings, etc~ and I'm feeling great ;p

alright.. i must agree that this post is a lil history.. lol i was supposed to post this up ages ago.. i guess i did not have to opportunity to complete this post.

I went back to Perth for a week to attend my convocation and I'm back here again.. No, it was not a nice trip.. thanks to my landlady - gave my family and I a rather hectic week. Running around under the hot sun to meet her demands.. Fortunately, everything can be settled there.

Anyway, I'm officially a graduate now ;) Did had a great time during the ceremony!

Sorry guys, I've been really busy lately!... anyway, just came back from Perth~ yes! am at Malaysia now!...

How do I feel about Malaysia? i'm sweating a lot! shopping's not as nice as perth but food are still the best ^.^

Anyway, before arriving ere at Malaysia.. I toured at Swan Valley ;P

Basically, we spent a night at Novotel, cooked our own dinner, bought a big box of strawberries at AUD5, ate ice cream at Oggies, visited the Margaret River Choc Factory, camel ride at Cavershem wildlife park, visited Sittella's vine yard.. tasted wines and bought 1, went to Mondo's nougat factory as well (kinda disappointed with their service).

I've been demonstrating the Sony Cybershots (W series and the T series) for months... am starting to get attached to them!.. so I decided to get one for myself~ since the demo unit will not be permanently owned by me. I must agree that the newly released T series, both T77 and T700 are beautiful in terms of the slim design as well as the picture quality. However, sometimes you may find a bit pixel-ish for night shots (if its on Auto mode) and blurry (when its on twilight cos it takes longer to process and usually tripod's required as the SuperSteadyShot won't help that much), I get a lot of customers that are not really satisfied with the night shots~

But there's a way to solve the problem! The iSCN+

Basically, when you set it into iSCN+ (intelligent Scene plus).. it will take 2 shots in different scn modes not simultaneously but within 2 seconds when you press the shutter once. So, when playback, you will get 2 shots with different lightings (warmth and bright). Usually, I prefer the shots that has warmth lightings.. and yea, i'm pretty satisfied with the images taken =)

Anyway, my new digital camera:
I chose the red one! looks hot..! hehehe

Ok.. where was I? yup~ coffee at the Merchant~ I ordered a strong iced Mocha to gain back my energy and yea, continued shopping~~

and so, I went for a nice dinner~ at Arirang.. and had the Banquet, which consists of entree and the main course.

The entree dish is as above, and it was nice! and filling too..
they then placed charcoal into the pit, covered it with the hot plate and.. started BBQ-ing!

cute little bowls of Korean pickles were served as well :)

After BBQing the meat, take a lettuce, place some meat and some of each pickle, wrap it and 'aaaahhmmmm'.. hehhee.. yummilicious! very satisfied with the food! service are satisfactory too!

My day~

Yesterday.. 5th December.. My B'day!.. haha~ A great day.. I was bombarded with b'day wishes :D from various media - msn, text msg to facebook~ thanks all! did appreciate all of the wishes! Love you guys loads~! Alas, all of my friends went back to their home countries.. sobs~

Basically, my day started real early.. I woke up at 7 am ~~cos I was so excited over my bday haha kidding~~ as I was expecting a delivery in the morning... and yes it did arrive! My Sony Giga Juke! purchased it at a GOOD price with the redemption of my company points.. whees~

This pretty system here can store up to 15000 songs!! cos it has 80GB Hard Drive. Besides, it has a USB port, so you can easily plug in your MP3 and play your songs~! It allows you to transfer songs from MP3/CD to the HDD too! Handy ain't it? hehehe.. As expected from Sony, the sound is perfect!

After that, went to city~ had lunch and started shopping~ then went to harbour town to continue shopping.. I was so excited when arrived at Harbour town as there are many new shops now!.. omg~ I was crazy.. spend about more than an hour in CityBeach @.@~ the store is loaded with clothes and accessories, brands of Roxy, Billabong, Quiksilver, DC, Zoo York, Moolala and many many more~ and yes! VERY discounted! hahaha.. but it was a bit difficult to find the clothes/stuff that you want from the huge warehouse! haha.. well I'm a girl.. I'm fine with that hehe..

After that, I can say I was rather exhausted Lol~ hence slowed down on my shopping pace.. did few more stores visits then went for a coffee at the Merchant.

Hmmm~ shall I continue it on the next post? hahaha~

Gladiator sandals are really in trend this summer! easily matched pair of sandals with dresses, tights, jeans, skirts. I kinda like the turquoise one and the gold looks really cool, but black will be the colour that I will purchase, guess its easier to match with clothes of any colours.

Can't wait for my real holidays..! Have been working almost everyday, some work that I have never done before.. T.T had to put up POS materials for stores, and even had to handle a cordless drill~ *faints* Christmas is near, sales everywhere, promotions easily spotted.. and people are everywhere busy shopping for presents.. including myself.. lol i gotta buy souvenirs back ^.^

While working.. some nice stuff that i captured, or can i say i was too bored waiting and played around with my camera. hehe.

and~ haha.. of course~ shopping! lol.. wat to do, every where's having sales and further reduction..

Handbags at Myer are all discounted (it will last for about 2 weeks, so ladies~ start your engine! hehe), spotted DKNY ^.^ was allowed to choose one of the 2 for my bday prezzie - it was a trade off between price and the design i like, ended up with the black one.. went for the design instead of price - was told that it was the last one in the whole Australia @.@ haha. THANKS DEAR! hehe..

And~ bought a skirt..

Pretty aint it? from Sportsgirl.. They are currently having further 20% on sales items.. hehe. Bought some souvies from there~ but not gonna display it! haha.. surprise for the ones who are gonna receive it *wink*

Bought the dress cos its really cheap and nice too~ discounted from $69.90 ~~to $59.90 to $29.90~~ to $19.90! hahaha.. For the panda T, the wordings don't really suit me {please don't break my heart}, my heart aint broken! =) but I bought it because of the panda! can't resist the cuteness hehehe and yup! discounted too *winks*
yea, i'm a shopper that only spend on discounted items.. cos the price will definitely drop somehow~ must shop smartly *grins*

My latest layout design!~ decided to use the theme of 'a lil diary' ~ rather similar to my previous one (the crafty pink). But, this time I placed emphasis on warmth, emotional, fantasy, nostalgic... a metaphor of one opening an old diary. Hence colours used are skewed towards the brownish side with a little bit of bright colours as supplementary. Yea~ that's bout it!

Finally, I have completed my final paper for my degree. Never did I expect that this day will come in just a blink. My exams were alright, I guess~ hehe, the final paper was a little tough~ I actually dreamt of 1 exam question and it came true~! Omg.. I have psychic power. Don’t play play LOL.

Right now, I am flooded by feelings of excitement, joy, and delight! Am pampering myself a lot, went shopping straight after my last paper, bought myself a piece of pretty dress from Forever New (discounted from $99 to $19 HAHAHAHAHA)

With just a blink of an eye, a year has passed... The Perth Royal Show is here again! and of course I went! hehehe... I was there the first day of the royal show ^.^ This year I get to purchase concession ticket~ half price *wheee*... let me share some pictures~

I am so not aware of the existence of these species of birds.. some looked weird, some are gigantic, and there are adorable ones too! especially the fluffy one! - just like a puppy.. hehe

Next are the doggies~ the dogs were HUGE O.O some were bigger than i am~ but I like these 2:

They have Chinese Acrobatic performance too!

I really admire the girl with such flexible body~ her performance was great! the best for me ^.^

Google has a new Web Browser!.. I was browsing thru the Economist that day~ and read that Google had launched a new Web Browser - Google Chrome. So, to my curiosity I downloaded it and tried it out. Currently its still under Beta version and Google claimed that:

On the surface, we designed a browser window that is streamlined and simple. To most people, it isn't the browser that matters. It's only a tool to run the important stuff - the pages, sites and applications that make up the web. Like the classic Google homepage, Google Chrome is clean and fast. It gets out of your way and gets you where you want to go.

Under the hood, we were able to build the foundation of a browser that runs today's complex web applications much better . By keeping each tab in an isolated "sandbox", we were able to prevent one tab from crashing another and provide improved protection from rogue sites. We improved speed and responsiveness across the board. We also built V8, a more powerful JavaScript engine, to power the next generation of web applications that aren't even possible in today's browsers.

This is just the beginning - Google Chrome is far from done. We've released this beta for Windows to start the broader discussion and hear from you as quickly as possible. We're hard at work building versions for Mac and Linux too, and we'll continue to make it even faster and more robust

Busy week~~

oooo.. my blog looked kinda dead.. lol.. sorry readers, was rather busy this week.. Had a poster session on Wednesday, its an assignment for 1 of my units: Marketing of Services, some of u might know cos I mentioned it hehe [I complained a lot]~ the ones that do not know? well, a brief description: its a research on services of a fitness centre - I selected Cove Health Club @ City.

I know.. poster session sounds fun and I thought it was easy.. but I was wrong!.. Service is too vague! and a fitness centre ain't small, there's so much to touch on and the poster is A1 sized.. not big enough for the overloaded information~ 1st struggle was trying find a way to fit all 4 requirements of the assignment into the poster (so basically what I did was.. Integration!), 2nd struggle, the stationery here are extremely pricey! hole in my pocket T.T, 3rd scarce resources - I did not buy enough glue, no marker pen, no masking tape, limited double-sided tape .. so gotta ~~curi~~ borrow from my friend hehe, and 4th gotta structure the poster where i can link and fit the frameworks well.. 5th~ everything was everywhere but I don't know where.. ~.~

During the day of Poster session, I think I was jinxed or sth T.T.. I missed 3 buses~ first was the nearest from my place, 2nd.. cos the bus was full, 3rd I didn't noe why the bus jus drove away without stopping??! Besides, I lost the pop-up logo of Cove Health Club I made!! sadddsss.. cos of the strong breeze that day.. Tried to look for it~ but failed.. well had a plan B instead..
To look on a positive perspective.. I missed 3 buses and hopped on to a kinda empty bus, I can say.. which was easier for me cos I'm carrying such a BIG piece of poster.. Lost the pop-up logo where I had to draw the logo myself and stuck a few photos of the Fitness Centre, which was kinda handy while presenting..

well.. sometimes things are fated, you can't change what has happened.. you jus have to look on the happy side! Glad that my presentation went smoothly~ My lecturer said we were creative *wheee* cos our poster is the only 1 with the theatre metaphor (1 of the services framework).. gotta draw the curtain to see the poster.. hehehe..

Big Bowl~

But, of course I need some time to relax.. correct? hehehe..
Friday night, met up with my friends for dinner.. I selected Big Bowl as our destination~! I've been there once (twice now), and I like their noodles..! Basically, they make the noodles on the spot when you order the food.. how? well, they have a really big machine to process the noodles not allowed to take pictures of the machine.. Some pictures I snapped on the noodles:

They offer a variety of noodles, from fried to soup, spicy to non, meat, seafood, cheese bake... etc.
You will spend some time to choose your dish.. but its recommended! *wink*

Isn't it better if everyone is treated equally? everyone respecting each other? valuing each other's culture? Sometimes one have to learn to understand.. giving people chance to show that they have capabilities and listen~

To that someone, look around you.. you are in a country that has diverse culture, try to accept it, and don't be rude or look down on others...

Earnestly, I have been slacking a little ever since my week break started, always giving myself excuses
"I don't have to rush, I have a week to do it". My work is progressing in such a slow pace, everything's still hanging!

Yesterday, when i peeped into the letter box, I saw an envelope with my name printed on it and my Uni's logo on the top right. I was like hmmm~ what is this? The letter looked rather different compared to the ones i received, usually on improving uni's service, invoice, student guild, etc. It has those white cursive 'Curtin' words printed on a light purple sheet, projected a luxury look ;) The letter reads:

The Vice-Chancellor's List was initiated in 1991 in recognition of academic performance, compromising the top 1% of undergraduate students in each discipline across the University. Your performance in Semester 1, 2008 has put you into this category. It is a pleasure to offer you my congratulations on this achievement...

My feeling: omg! are you serious?
and, it rings the bell! what am I doing? its my final semester! I better get my skates back on!

Yesterday, I went to gym! hmmm.. not to keep fit~ its for my research on services *urgh* but I joined the 14 days free trial! I'll make sure that I maximise the utilisation~~! After that, I went to Utopia for Karaoke! oh i miss singing so much! *oops* didn't snap any pictures, was too busy emo-ing in the room with my sis hehehe.. its my therapy for stress :D

Had dinner at Hawker's Cuisine @ Chung Hua Lane behind Utopia. yup! i have pictures ^.^

We have been staying in Vic Park for more than a year but hardly eat at the restaurants along Albany highway, vic park.. and we just realised that there are soo many delicacies along the highway!! That's what I'm experiencing now :( not in love but in my final semester. Its only my second week, and the things that I have to do is just SO MUCH. Classes of 2 days a week, ain't that sound nice? but how come I still find that time is so limited! Tried to space out giving high priority to my studies, so only working 2 days a week... can't shop so much edi~~~

Now, I'm leaving my books aside to relax a while, and too bad my blog's the victim for me to spill my emotions.. hehe Thanks bloggie :D

hmm...*Looking at my planner*, lotsa things to do tomorrow~
gotta go to the selected fitness centers to ask their permission to conduct a survey on the services provided and to interview the management. Just hope that everything will go smoothly for me pray pray pray, I don wanna go running everywhere to get approvals...

Perth's showing So You Think You Can Dance Season 4 now - every Wednesday and Friday 7.30pm and you really must see this!

Robert Muraine, the BEST Popper I'd ever seen!

He is extremely flexible, really gets you poppin' when u see him dance!
He got through the audition and head Vegas but dropped out during the first day, he claimed that he is not a choreographer and only dances Pop/Lock Dance, and he decided to give up.

Well, I believe that he will excel in his field, I'm sure everyone agrees!

Oh and, I'm getting really busy since Uni starts.. so, won't be blogging as often as I was during the holz, but I'll update my blog once I find the time~

First Day of Uni

After a month of semester break, empty files, space on the shelves or cupboards are awaiting to be filled up by the pile of papers/notes of upcoming semester.

With just a blink, I'm already at Perth for a year and a half! This will be my final semester at Curtin. It MIGHT be~ who knows? I might be back to further my studies? :) So, started my first day with a mission: aim for Distinction List! Lecturers/Tutors I obtained so far are satisfactory ~~don't feel sleepy in class at all~~ :D glad to find familiar faces in my classes - gives me the feeling of "hmmm, guess I'm really back at Uni again!" Units of this semester are TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH! well, it is expected for final semester units, flooded with information, assignments, etc on the first day...not easy for me to digest! but I better launch my rocket soon LOL!

I believe the most interesting unit of this semester will be Business Capstone: one of the famous unit of Curtin. Basically, you will be given a task, where you are in charge of a company and you gotta plan the strategies for the company throughout the 8 years (8 weeks for us). There will be combination of students across Majors in the team. Something really unique I can say.

The final week break to my last semester! of course~ I have to spend some time to relax and enjoy~~ wheeee...

The weather forecast reported Tuesday as a fine day, so we decided to go for a picnic! Persons involved are: Sam, Parrish, Alex, Alex's gf (was it Jocelyn or Josephine? omg.. sorry I forgot her name), my sis and I.

Before picnic, watched the Dark Knight.. @ Garden City

I must admit, this is one of the best batman movie! The plot was great~ more than 1 climax, the show is really cool, but I dislike the Joker - Yucks.. scary, evil and insane! and Harvey's face is disgusting...

First of all, let me blog about the preparation to picnic!~ so let's rewind a little to the day before~~~ *zeeeeeeeeeeeeep*

It was Monday~ had brunch in the morning - cos wanna go shopping for both clothing and groceries and that's for my brunch!

Spaghetti Meatballs~ lol I cooked this because of Hancock yea~ Hancock ate Spaghetti meatballs in the show LOL. My sis said it was nice! If anyone wants the recipe~ just ask from me

yesh! I love desserts...! so today's post is on desserts..

I was not a cheesecake lover until I tasted this cheesecake! The best cheesecake I'd ever had! You can get it at Perth City's Gloria Jeans as well as the Cafe outside Myer's Entrance (the perfume/wristwatch section), diagonally opposite Jaw's sorry I forgotten the name of the cafe, it's outdoor btw.

The impromptu~

Last night, everything happened impromptu, let me list it down ;)

1. Friends came over to my place to borrow the Internet before their dinner, and
2. Suggested, lets go for dinner! - Though I had my dinner but my legs are itchy - wanna go out :D:D
3. Went out, then had dinner at Northbridge LOL niel's favourite place :P we wanted to try something new~ so we went in Billy Lee's Chinese Restaurant, but their service was really bad, they show "black faces" when we walked into the shop and they were rather rude at us! So we decided to leave~ and ate next door - City Garden Restaurant: their service was way better.
oops.. didn't take picture of the food.. I do not have the habit to do so~ LOL
4. After dinner, friend suggested: "Let's go camwhore!"
5. We went to Swan River's jetty at Mill Point Rd!

Last night, the night where all Curtin students across the world were facing the rectangular screens, anxiously and persistently clicking into the e-student account to check whether the results are out.

Yea~ Started clicking since I stepped out of my bed and kept trying.. Until I decided to stay away from the screen for a while~ so I went shopping! and~~ Nine West's having SALES!!

and i bought 2 handbags!.. didn't buy shoes, though its really tempting! but i just bought a pair few weeks ago~

Came back from shopping, and yea.. started checking the results again.. but still not released~ T.T

Again, to distract myself, I popped over to my friend’s place, since they just moved in next block, so I went to see what I can help. Besides, there’s no internet connection at their place, so I can’t check~ LOL. Then, I did some clean up, arrangement of furniture, had dinner and so forth.

Tick tock tick tock~ it's 11.50pm, finally decided to go back.

Fruit Cream Puff

Was it during Sunday? yea i think it was... After work, I walked into Utopia @ Barrack Street, and I found a cute lil' nicely decorated fruit cream puff in the refrigerator. I have been craving for it since I watched the Japanese drama - where they non stop baking cream puffsss *drools*

Obviously, I grabbed it! lol~ it cost $3.50, its rather pricey for this small thing, but you can hardly find a cream puff at Perth! Does anyone know where else at Perth sells cream puffs??

So went back, took some pictures of it~ from different angles. Here's one of it!

Sobs~ there's a catch on the pricing for iPhones...
Yes~ it will be cheap only for the ones that wants to go on a 24 months contract.

Telstra's lowest plan is $30 for 24 months where you have to pay $279 to get the phone, whereas for Optus, its $79 for 24 months and get the phone for free.

Non contracts?

Optus released this information today, as follows:
the 8GB's is $729!!! and the 16GB is $849~ T.T

So far, no news from Telstra on non-contracts, but I presume that it will be similar.

Working at one of the Telstra store (Australia telecommunication corp)~ without fail there will be at least one customer that walks in the store and asks "Do you sell iPhone?" everyday.

It seems that Steve Jobs had made the right choice employing price penetration, which is to set low price at the introductory stage of iPhone 3G, hoping to capture a large amount of market share.

Albeit the exclusive features of this unit with the combination of mobile phone + iPod + Internet, Steve Jobs asserted

"I'm very happy to tell you, the iPhone 3G is gonna sell from US$199"

Consumers really doubt that it will be offering at such good price! I doubt it myself! But it seems that the validity of this news is heightening!

"Telstra, which has more than 9 million mobile phone customers, said in a statement that iPhone plans will start at A$30 a month, with an upfront cost of A$279 for the 8 gigabyte model and A$399 for the 16GB model."

K-drama fanatic!

Me~ a 9 ends 2 outs (9회말 2아웃) fanatic! yup! have been watching this k-drama for nights! Just finish watching the last episode few minutes ago~ I can say that it has a distinctive story line, the ending's a little simple but acceptable.

Well, I don't wish to be a spoiler to the ones whom are watching it or planning to watch, so I'm not gonna talk too much about the story here. BUT! gotta share 1 thing! the actors in this show~ omg.. they are all so muscular! LOL~

Let me introduce the macho men.. haha

My Ratings: Most handsome: Lee Sang Woo (most muscular too, look at his arms!), Cutest: Lee Tae Sung, Favourite Male Character: Lee Tae Sung (I like the way he cries, so cute! hehe)

Also, this drama~ they eat non-stop! I was mesmerized by the food *drools* especially when you see them eat.. listening to the slurps.. gosh hungreeee... yea~ I love korean food!

So, today korean cuisine's for my dinner! I cooked JjajangMyun! tada~~

a.k.a Black bean paste noodle

Ingredients:

100g diced pork (marinate with grated ginger, salt and pepper)
1 zucchini (cut into cubes)
1 onion (cut into cubes)
1 carrot (cut into cubes)
1 potato (cut into cubes)
400g-500g korean cold noodles
2 tbspn black bean paste
1 tbspn corn flour + 1 tbspn of water (thickening)
1 tspn sugar
2 tbspn olive oil
water
1 tspn sesame oil

First, heat the olive oil in the wok and saute marinated diced pork until cooked. Remove the olive oil, and put aside. Add in carrot and potato and stir-fry for a minute or 2. Then, add in zucchini and onion and stir-fry lightly. Pour in the water until it covers all the ingredients, cover the wok and let it boil.

Meanwhile, in another pot/wok heat the remained olive oil and stir fry with 2 tbspn of black bean paste. Stir in the black bean paste into the boiling ingredients, boil until the potato's soft then thicken with cornflour mixture. Lastly, add in the sesame oil.

Cook the noodles by boiling it for approximately 3 minutes. Dish on to a bowl and pour the sauce on top of the noodles, then serve it hot!

Tips: eat it with kimchee! hehe

Formerly, TEMT gave me an impression of a boutique selling "aunty" style clothing, targeting the elder/matured female market. Over the year, it is apparent that they had changed their target market to targeting a younger market. New stores were opened few months ago and some opening soon, with great store environment: luxurious and trendy atmosphere, yes! it tempted me in!

The clothes? Satisfactory! I love their new styles, bought few pieces during the City Store launch promo. Sorry~ didn't take any pictures of it.

Well, I'm short of pants now~ working everyday and weather's gloomy, so bought a pair today :)
haha and its grey again~ -.-|||

You've been experiencing a gruelling time since you started working... sorry I'm not there to support, but you must know that I'm mentally supporting you ok! always! ;)

As usual, I always go shopping with "buying you something" in my shopping list~ seee I'm sooo goood! hahaha

So, one day~ while I was browsing around the city after work, while waiting for my sister to finish her shift... Without noticing, I walked into a duty-free shop.. mayb its because of the SALES word that enticed me in.. haha

It was my first time entering that store.. and ooo! I saw wrist-watches! various brandee watches from Guess to Gucci to CK.. etc and *DING DING* I saw a couple watch and it stimulated my desire to need! I just knew its the one for us!

Nicee?? oh~ too bad you can only see it but can't wear it...yet! HAHA blek!

Finally, end of my semester.. thought of having a good rest, but out of the blue I am bombard with work! I deserve it though~ cos I told my manager that I am flexible. Imagine working ~~7 days a week~~ evereedayyy means, no more shopping, no more long hours of sleep, no more holiday~~~

Yes, did try to squeeze some time for outing with friends, went Tony Roma's @ 919, Hay Street, CBD Perth.
I guess it tastes better compared to Malaysia? Can't really remember the taste though.. This is what my sister and I ordered...

Today, 18 June 2008 *looks at the time* 10:10pm. After few days of consideration, decided to relaunch my blog!

A little history...

My first blog, known as Pink Paradise, where I noted the little puzzles of my life, a blog that made me kept in touch with my friends as well as making new friends! But I decided to close it when I stepped into the 1^st semester of Year 3. The busy semester made me incompetent in blogging, so there goes Pink Paradise.

Everyone must be wondering where I went! LOL sorry guys.

*Clears throat* Now, let me introduce you my new blog: A Journey with Dreams! I did not know why it isn’t pink now.. Black and white just pop out of my mind while I was designing and this is the outcome! hehe
